Mad Since when did I become a person who gets autographs for other people at cons??!!

Because of me going to the New York Anime Festival on Saturday, I have people on Facebook keep asking me to get autographs for them because they can't attend or are too far away from the location. Since when did I become somebody who gets autographs for other people? What am I? A goddamn talent agent or something? I just wanted to go and cosplay as Ken The Eagle, hang out and meet Corrine Orr. I'm so irritated, man!

They ask you because they trust you and think you are generous soul and will do it.

Be flattered, no irritated, and if you have no way to get them, graciously decline. "I'm sorry but I won't be able to do that for you".

Just say you don't think its possible for you to do it. Graciously decline. Or delete you facebook account and you won't have to worry about anyone asking you to do anything for them ever again.... Just an option. Wink1

Well I mean, these are people I've never seen or met in person and they want me to mail them out to them. And I don't even know most of the people who asked that well nor do I talk to them on a regular basis unlike say people on this site.

The distortions of the electronic era. These people think they know you, and so they feel comfortable asking you to get autographs for them. To them, it's the same as asking their meatspace friend to do them a favor.

Allen, unless you know these people personally, or hang out with elsewhere online regularly, ignore their requests. Just post on your facebook something like this:

Heading out to NYAF! To those asking me to get autographs, wish I could but so many have asked me that I wouldn't have time to get something for everyone and I'd spend all of my time just chasing down half of your requests.
