Create a new team...
Your mission: To create a new Science Ninja Team.
Your constraints: You must include no more than 3 members of the original Science Ninja Team. Other members must be from G-Force (BOTP or GoS versions) or Eagle Riders. OAV characters count as being part of the 'original' Science Ninja Team.
So..... Make your dream team!!!!
For me:
Eagle: Mark
Condor: Joe Asakura
Swan: Kelly Jennar
Swallow: Jimmy (OAV Jinpei)
Owl: Ryu Nakanishi
And for bonus points.... in charge of it all, I'd like to see Dr. Keane!

I think I'd have to go this way:
Eagle: Ken
Condor: Jason
Swan: Princess
Swallow: Jinpei
Owl: Tiny
with Chief Anderson in charge (but no Zark)
I'd have replace Ryu with Tiny, but I had to keep three originals. Ken was easy, I like him better than Mark; the others I had to think about. However, I still prefer the BotP characters to the originals for the most part.
Edit: I reread TJ's post and misread it the first time. I read must keep three not no more than three. So I changed it to what I would have done.

Sorry for not being able to add my share to this thread! I'm just not capable to compare, being only very familiar with Gatchaman and, slightly with the OAVs, and completely biased! The characters are those whom I'm mostly used to, and connect with, and whom I would not change! The original SNT is the perfect team, for me!

Okay, okay... seriously, I'll keep to the usual ranking.
When it comes to possible Eagle and Condor mix and matches, I figure I have to change it up somehow. But I can't help but feel that Mark and Joe wouldn't get along very well -that each has even more of the characteristics they already seem to find annoying in their usual teammate. However, I could see Ken and Jason doing quite well together...
So -gasp!- I'm going to leave Joe out. And, while I don't dislike Mark, I like Ken a whole lot better.
Eagle: Ken
Condor: Jason (he's really growing on me lately and I bet he'd enjoy working under Ken)
Swan: Princess (I'd love to see what she makes of Ken and his detached reserve around women...)
Swallow: Jinpei (It could be funny to see what he does when the girl on the team is not his "Onechan")
Owl: Ryu (Joe's often mean to him, he'll probably consider Jason an improvement)
I could come up with other combos too (that involve Joe), but I think this one's my first choice.

I dont know if this is allowed but I would kick out Jinpei and have. Ken, Joe, Jun, Jason, Tiny and Chief Anderson. Definately no Zark.
If not I would have to settle with replacing Joe with Jason (even though his voice doesnt really work for me).

Again, I can't see Mark and Joe getting along. Joe would probably think Mark was a "stick up his a$$" prig and Mark would probably consider Joe an insubordinate psycho. Now Jun might consider Mark a nice alternative to Ken (and one who might actually tell her she's pretty, send her private messages or snub other girls because of his affection for her) but then Joe would probably accuse her of being fickle or disloyal to Ken. Keyop would probably miss Princess a lot, and I suspect Tiny would look askance at Joe. So, this is probably the un-dream team!
Actually, I think I would do some rank switching here! It would be fun to see what Mark would think of being second-in-command, and having to take orders from Joe!

Oh, and I'd put Dr. Nambu on this un-dream Team (he's used to Joe) and put Chief Anderson with my first team.

If Jun and Princess and Mark and Ken were all on the same Team, I could see them getting along. And Mark might even show Ken a thing or two about responding to his subordinate's affections!
Now, what about Mark and Jun and Jason and Princess? I wonder if Jun might not be interested in Jason...?
