Hi all

I was ready to talk to a friend online when she deliberately Signed off on me! I was so angry I Don't Want to talk to her again

First, don't assume it was deliberate.

It could be something as simple as a problem with a computer, lost internet connection, or power loss.

It could also have been a severe and unexpected case of Real Life.

E-mail her - or (even better) phone her and don't accuse - just say that you wre disappointed that she wasn't able to make the chat with you and you look forward to catching up again.

Or perhaps as you came on she was leaving?

That happens with me all the time. I am not even looking at my facebook page, and just exit the program without looking to see what's goign on. next time I turn on the site, I notice two or three people had said hello..

Could be totally innocent.

get pissed at her and say something really mean next time you see her chat handle? sign off deliberately halfway through one of her sentences? hit the button that buzzes the screen every fifteen seconds and claim it's your cat?

Yeah, I've had people abruptly sign out on me as well, but it was mostly due to things like bad internet connections or losing internet connection for a while. Don't tune your friend out just yet.

Hey I have DONE the whole abrupt sign out thing. Mostly because I was on dial up and had to get off because someone needed to make a phone call.

With high speed now my big problem is if my sever goes down, for some reason that seems to happened every time I have a power interruption. I guess because my DSL box needs to have electricity to work.

On a more serious note...happens to me all the time! Plus I'm guilty of doing too, my kids come first.

Don't worry about it, send her/him and offline message that you'd love to catch up for a chat next time or tee up a time when it suits the both of you.

I'm on wireless and it drops out all the time.

A plane going overhead can do it - and I live on the flight path *sigh*.

Don't dismiss your friend just yet, find out what's going on first. It could be that simple!
