Brickyard Road by Johnny Van Zant

Normally I don't make threads about only a song, but this song is just so beautiful that I had to share it with my forum members. It's about Johnny's brother Ronnie Van Zant, who was the late lead vocalist of southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd. Thinking about how beautiful and moving it is is just making me want to cry!

Bands like Nickelback, MCR and Linkin Park probably can't write a song that moving!

It's been awhile. Is Johnny the one who eventually joined the reformed Skynrd after his brother's death, or is he the one that fronted 38 Special? I know both surviving brothers eventually formed the "country" band Van Zant for a while, too.

I didn't know the one who replaced Ronnie in Skynyrd and the one in .38 Special were two different people. I wouldn't know.

Okay, yes, just checked. Johnny replaced Ronnie in Syknrd. Donnie is a founding member of .38 Special. I Johnny is the youngest of the three brothers.
