Gatch and Fic sites.
Hi peeps,
I would like to ask you all for a list of your favourite sites for Gatch, Botp etc or of sites where you post your fic's or discuss upload any kind of fandom work.
Additionally I'd like to ask what particular features you like from those sites.

This is the only discussion board for BotP/Gatch that I play on. Even the Yahoo group is quiet nowadays.
As for uploading fics - there were a few sites I used, but now the ones I stay with are here; Gatchfanfic (www.gatchfanfic.com); FanFiction.net (www.fanfiction.net) and Adult Fan Fiction (www.adultfanfiction.net)
I suppose with Gatchfanfic I like that they will accept any rating so that you can archive all your work in one place.
I also like Gatchfanfic in that because it is only limited to Gatch/BotP fandom, I know that the quality of the work up there is good.
I like on ff.net that I can upload a word document and know it will keep all my formatting - well 99% of it.
Hope this helps.

FF.net is a PITA to post on, and you can't have more than one author for a fic, but it does post things up quickly, and has a lot of readers. You don't have to be a member to read fics, so you reach a very wide audience.
Gatchfanfic requires all fics to be 'approved', and that can sometimes take ages. You have to be logged in to read all of the fics, and the system doesn't Keep you logged in, even though it's supposed to. But it's easier to post on, and edit on, and as Maddy said, it's great to have Gatch fanfic all in one place. It's also easy to surf through/search fics.
This is the only active Gatch/BOTP discussion board I know of. There are a few dead ones, and the BOTP Mailing list is veeeery slow. There are a few good reference sites out there, but many of them have not been recently updated.

TJ reminded me - I like on Gatchfanfic that you can have more than one author for a fic, and I also like that you can log a challenge and everybody can attach their fic to that.
It makes it easy to read all fics in a challenge.
I also like on Gatchfanfic that you can create a Series - again great if you're writing or reading a story arc.

Like the others, I'm mainly hear and gatchfanfic. I do visit Wendy's and Reboeka's (I hope I spelled her name right) but mainly if I can't find it here first or just feel like browsing.
I like Gatchfanfic because I'm very familiar and comfortable with the efiction script. For it's purpose it is the best I've seen for readers and authors alike; plus if you are a programmer you can modify the script with good success. I've seen archives that have taken the basic script and added some excellent features to it and closed some of the security holes.
What I like about here is the people, the information, and the discussion. That and I like the discussion board format better than the yahoo format. It is so much easier to follow discussions here.

I like Gatchaman Archives for posting stories because its more organised in the sense of series, things like that. I like FF.net because of its ratings, its nice to know where you're readers come from. Story reader counts are good just so you know someone reads it, even if they don't leave a review.

With Gatchfanfic, I can arrange my series stories in the proper order, instead of by date of writing. Less confusion for a reader.
I like ff dot net because it keeps the formatting (more or less) for a document.

efiction will keep the formatting, too if you cut and paste. The one thing that you do have to do with it is simple html for effects like bold or italics. I think the new version has even more options, but I haven't played with it that much.
The direct upload for efiction is hit and miss, at least the older versions.

Hi all!
If I'm looking for online reference, I tend to use the Japanese language Gatchakan site:
http://homepage1.nifty.com/signal_g/index.html
If I was going to recommend an English reference site, it would be Wendy's Home of the White Shadow:
http://www.chronicsite.com/gatchaman/index.html
I like both of these sites because they provide a lot of invaluable factual information in one place. The Gatchakan site has the advantage of having it's news section updated regularly, something that is lacking on the English language sites.
I find the Gatchaman Good Pages useful if I'm looking for some quick information on the merchandise that's covered there:
http://www.gatchamangoods.com/
Again, like Wendy's site, it is in great need of an update.
Wendy does have her Gatchablog for current news at:
http://gatchablog.blogspot.com/
Unfortunately, she is unable to keep it as updated as I wish she would.
Since I have no interest in fanfic, I have no firsthand knowledge in anything regarding any of the fanfic sites.
James
Like many others, this site is the only one for me regarding discussion boards and Gatchfanfic.com is the one I prefer to post write-ups and art because I find it rather easy, user-friendly and organised. I also like the idea of finding a large variety of fics, whether BOTP or Gatchaman related, in one site together with the ability of rating and leaving a comment regarding the same work.
I do browse other Gatchaman websites, every now and then (e.g. The House of the White Shadow, etc), but mainly to search for some short info when I have the need or to see if I can discover some new art ... but this is done rarely, as I don't find enough time! I've already browsed a lot before I've joined this site, after which I decided to throw my anchor here! I definitely won't change this site with another!

When I get time, this is the site I visit. Theres lots of info if I need it and if theres not I can always ask, some one will know ! Its the social aspect I like as well, its always nice to be intouch with people with similar interests.... and smutty minds.
I would ditto the above except I don't use fanfiction.net. It always goes strange on me.

The only website that I drop in on is Wendy's (tatsunokofan mentioned above), but after stumbling onto this one, this is basically been it for me ever since.
I haven't posted any fic at all, so unfortunately, I can't help there. Thanks!
