Given that the packaging is Korean... it could be that this is the "Eagle 5" leader (a Korean remake not to be confused with Gatchaman - even though there are five characters and very similar costumes and...).
There was also a video game with the Gatchaman characters in "chan" form... which was released around 2000... I'll attach a picture or two if I can find them...

Oh ... two things that are holding me from buying that sleep mask are the following: 1. being afraid to scare DH to death when finding me with one on when he gropes during the night; and 2. not being used to wear one and being a person who does not tolerate so much additional things on oneself especially during sleep! Shall I have more vivid dreams of the Eagle if I wear one when I sleep, though?! I might think twice if that might be the case!
