Are cars more trouble than they're worth??
Hi,
Due to my last post being full of caps which was my fault I never posted like this before. Here is my problem:
My father has a neat Chrysler convertible that was inherited. He's out in garage trying to fix it and he's using every cuss word in the book at it I come out to get a coke from the fridge and he starts cussing at me. Of course naturally I wanted to start swearing back at him but i refrained from doing so. I felt like i was A Little fool for going out there like i did but i felt like throwing a punch at him.
thanks
ps I hope my grammer is correct this time

Its hard to tell what's going to set someone off. My nemisis is the computer. I cuss it out on as regular basis.
Its best to just ignore the person ranting and raving. They're really not mad at you. You just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

No - not your fault. It's fairly common to get annoyed with inanimate objects and then take it out on the next person that comes along.
Usually the reason is that with the inanimate object, you know that there is something wrong, you're trying to fix it, but for some reason it won't fix. Wht's worse, is that you KNOW that it's something small and stupid that you're just not seeing - and the object can't help and tell you exactly what it knows the problem is and say "ah yes - thati's it!: (and it if could, it would solve a lot of problems that I deal with every day with inanimate objects).
The best way is to not react - the other person is just letting off steam and I bet your dad felt really bad about it afterwards.
'Sides - you can always come here and rant at us.
Please don't be put off by what I mentioned about capital letters - I'm sorry if it came across harshly. I didn't mean it to.
Annndddd - my gorgeous SJ - how are YOU going girl?? Is Joshie enjoying school?

Yep - you're a Swan all right!
You handled the situation in the best way possible. Had you responded the way you wanted (a Swan with a good dashing of Condor by the sounds of it!), you would have only made the situation worse.
As hard as it is, sometimes you just have to shake your head and walk away - knowing when and how is a sign of maturity. Be proud of yourself!
