Whilst SJ and our other Canadian friends go crazy over Canada winning gold in the Ice Hockey.
Congrats guys. (come on - you know that we Aussies are going to side with a fellow Commonwealth member!!)

I feel very proud to be Canadian right now. And honestly for me it has nothing to do with winning that gold medal in hockey ... The Olymipcs have been very successful and have created a deep pride though out the country.

You guys certainly deserve congratulations on throwing a great Olympics! If your closing ceremony is any where near as good as the Opening I think I might try passing as Canadian!

I have a feeling today may very well be national "Call in Hungover Day" here in Canada!!
What a truly fantastic 17 days! Vancouver did a spectacular job not only in hosting a truly fantastic Olympic Games, but in bringing together a humble and shy nation to cry out in a single voice that was heard all over the world: "I AM CANADIAN!"
The naysaying press from other countries can gripe and complain about the little things all they want. Vancouver did this country proud ... Our Athletes made us even prouder.
Yaaaay Canada .. 14 Gold is an Olympic record!!!
And hey, Green... As our man, Mike J Fox said... We claim you! You are Canadian!!

It's a (comparatively) short boat trip from the British Isles to Nova Scotia. A lot of people went there first, even if they moved on elsewhere later.
