GPS on the God Phoenix.

Hi All,

I was just having a discussion with my DH who has an addiction to google earth...anyway he was playing around and asked for GPS directions from our house (Sydney Aust) to Washington DC. After taking us all the way to Darwin...it then suggested we use a Kayak cross the pacific ocean 4300klms to get to Asia....then keep treking...LOL!

56 days and 7hrs later we finally arrive there...ROTFL!!!

I had a giggle at the idea of putting all of us into a kayak and paddling to get there!

I'm wondering what kinda directions it would give the birdies...I can imagine Jinpei putting in Galactor headquarters. Shrugging his thin shoulders at the strange looks he get from the rest of the team and says. "You never know...its worth a try..."

I suppose the sophisticated equipment on Phoenix's bord receives real time images from the ISO satellites.

Often Nambu gave them the location and Ryu flyed them there. I still can't believe the first automatic pilot Phoenix had was introduced in the second series! They would have one more team member if Nambu thought of this earlier!

Well if the GPS on the Phoenix was anything like the one we have ... and the ones my friends have ... then they'd never get to their destination -- they'd end up out whoop whoop somewhere.

Or they'd get the scenic route ... one or the other.

But big giggles on the kayak thing .. what is great fic fodder right there!!

The Gatchamaniacs using GPS to find Centre Neptune... heh heh

Thats what cracked me up SJ, that it sent us the long long way to get there. No hoping on a plane of a ship! It tells us to use a Kayak!

I did ask did you say yes or not to tolls...heeheheeee!

I love my GPS to get around Sydney though, even if occasionally it has sent me the long way.

Once after going to the beach the GPS sent me over Sydney Harbour bridge to get home... I live in the Western suburbs so going over the Harbour Bridge was the opposite direction for me to go, but it was to late when I turned onto the road it had taken me too because it was an entrance point and it wasn't obvious at the left hand turn so I was committed. Then it took me on a tour through the CBD and back over the Bridge again and then onto home. (Its all motoways and tolls to go to the city and back to my house, so that was an expensive move.)

The next time I went that way I fooled it a little so it took me back in the right direction. Sometimes I only need it to get through unfamiliar back streets.

Who'd want to get to Center Neptune? There's Zark!

Oh, I can imagine a Susan voiced GPS! "Drive 1 km and turn to right".....and bump into the Tin can!

I can think of quite a few reasons to go to CN and bump into Zark....

Susan's voice on the GPS???? That could be fun. I reckon Princess might be rather redfaced everytime the GPS nav kicks in...

Reminds me of the Knight Rider GPS they released some time ago. That was a trip. I love K.I.T.T., and hearing him walk through the directions was really cool!

Too bad I'd already bought another one before I found that - I'd have totally picked that up!!

Ebony, now you make me want to go to my B/H's parents house and fiddle with their GPS system.

Furthermore you best get cracking soon, if you want to make it to the states before the next SDCC! Biglaugh1

So bad there's no soft to download for GPS' voice! The one dad recently bought has a voice that reminds me of Captain Planet's.

It'd be fun if you could set your GPS voice to match your Favourite's character's.
