San Diego Comic Con 2010

Hi all!

I just wanted to let eveyone know that online registration for 4-day memberships to the San Diego Comic Con is now available. It can be found at the Comic Con website at:

http://www.comic-con.org/cci/

Memberhsips for adults is $100.00 for the four days, while Juniors (12~17 years old) and Seniors (60 and older) are $50.00. Active military personel pay the Junior/Senior price.

They are now offering two options: with or without Preview Night. If you're not going to be there for the Wednesday night before the con officially opens on Thursday, you can go with the "Without Preview Night" option. If you're going to be there on Wednesday, or if you're not sure yet, make certain you choose the "With Preview Night" option. There is no price difference for choosing one or the other, but don't be surprise if the option with Preview Night sells out before the without option.

I hope we'll see you there!

James

Thank you James. I look forward to seeing you there next year. Maybe you can give me a grand tour of all the best places to find Gatch stuff. Rainbow3

It's a date -- assuming you don't mind Heather acting as a chaperone.

Ohhh, I am sure we could leave Heather with TJ, I don't think and Eagle and an Owl could get into too much trouble .... do you? OK

You're making a broad assumption that James is an Eagle. Wink

And James, I don't think you have to worry about CD being after your 'virtue'. If you recall, she's more interested in your 'Gatchaman stuff'. Big Grin

Yes I was thinking that after I posted it .... I should have said the Gatch Guru and a quiet Owl couldn't get into much trouble.

The way my ankle has messed up this summer, I will probably be loosing my job. Even if briefly, that will mean a loss of vaca days etc... so the way it looks, I'm holding my breath on it, like I am on the Gatch movie coming to the big screen.

Sorry to hear about the sad possibility GG. I will keep my fingers crossed that, that does not happen. But I can understand the loss of vacation days though, even if you do not lose your job.

My brother is having the same problem right now, since he is unable to drive due to the seizure he had earlier this year. Now I gather he is worried about losing his house as well.

Huggles I hope things get better for you.

GG, I'm so sorry... but is that even legal? How can they punish you for a temporary injury?

In any case, I hope it works out for you. Huggles

Hope things will get better for you, GG! It's a shame how sometimes you're not aided by your employer when you're in need! I had to quit my career just because of that when I had children ... with some help I could have somehow pursued it!

But now you have a wonderful career making Gatchacakes, Marie! You can't get much better than that! Wink

Fingers crossed for you, GG! I can't imagine an employer doing that...but I know it does happen! You may have a lawsuit on your hands if they do fire you!

They are saying that as of next Monday (the 4th) I will be off of FMLA, and then my points will start up. Which gives me another two weeks, problem is, they won't let me come back till I'm fully recovered and able to wear a steel toe boot. The doctor doesn't look for that to happen till the end of Oct.

I am walking with a "spaceboot" (as I call it) and still using a walker on occasion. My ankle feels better, but now my right knee is protesting badly. I hope that goes away with time and adding the mobility back into it.

CD, if I can manage to not lose my job, our vacation time reups during the 1st part of July. The way it's looking, I'll be lucky to have the mandatory week off paid.

My job has said that they will rehire me as soon as I can do everything they want. Still I may look into a couple of things during the time frame that I'm fired, and see how things pan out.

Thanks to all of you for your well wishes on this, and if things get too tough, I'll still keep in touch via the library.
