Frequency of Episode of the Week?

Hi everyone!

I know we all voted to have episode reviews twice a week, but my schedule has just become packed for the next few months, and I don't know if I can continue to do one episode a week. It takes me 8 hours plus to get it all together, and I can't always carve out that much time each week.

I'd like to drop down to once every 2 weeks, which leaves me with two choices:

1) Have someone fill in for me every second week.

2) Cut the episode reviews down to one per week and LB will alternate with me.

It seems like a good time to do it, as we're coming up to the halfway point in the series, which could be described as the 'end of season 1'.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

TJ I just enjoy reading them please do whatever you need to do that does not leave you anytime to have for yourself.

I will be happy to read them whatever the frequency

The same goes for me, TJ! Frankly, I always admired you, LB and Saturn for your devotion into preparing and submitting these quality episode reviews in time! I myself wonder if I could ever find time to do such an accurate "extra" job as you do and manage other activities (family, work, etc) at the same time! Sometimes I even find it difficult to read and comment about the two episode reviews per week, thus, if they are cut down to once a week it would be kinda better for me, hee, hee!

As I think I mentioned in another thread I do know you and LB and Saturn have been putting a lot of time into writing these eps. reviews and I admire the amount of work and time you three have put aside. If you feel you need to drop back to one a week, to be honest I will be a little sad to not be able to return every couple of days to a new eps review but will know you are doing what you are capable of.

The only other option I can see is finding some others to help write reviews, but I know I will not be able to assist as my schedule (as well as my ability) would be stretched with the new school year just starting.

Recapping Gatch, BOTP and making all the screencaps -I can well understand how much time that must require!

If no one steps up and offers to fill in for you every other week, I have no problem with having one recap per week with you and me alternating.

You do whatever helps, baybee! I'm happy just to see the ep reviews...once a week or twice a week...whenever you can get to it!

I know that this time of year can be busy...I'm in the midst of chaos right now, too! I always dread the beginning of school...

I have left chaos behind for the weekend and have decided to return to it with the beginning of class on Tuesday. As long as my students are safe and have something to do on the first day of school I have decided I will be happy. (I hope other teachers do not consider that setting a "low standard" to begin with.)

I love the reviews, but RL has to come first, unfortunately. I have had to make similar decisions. Do what you need to do and the rest of us will survive!

TJ, I second/third what the group has said here. You, LB and Saturn have done a wonderful job so far, and if it takes a little more time (like and extra week) to get them done I can't complain at all. If anyone would get the gumption to help write one, do you want them to send/get in touch with you three to give a heads up? Or would it be best to leave well enough alone?

Well you can either wait the year or so until TJ or LB write the review or if you are saying YOU would like to write the review than read through some of the work LB and TJ have done and write a review for us. Just give us a lot of detail about what is happening, you do not necessarily have to add all the funny/interesting comments that our two writers do.

Although the reviews are being written in sequential order, I think our two workers would love for someone else to post a few reviews even if they were posted out of order.

Episode 104 and 105 will be in quite awhile, but if you still want to help when we get around to them, LG, we'd love to have your input!

I just spotted Lady Galactor777's avatar. Is that a revamped Berg Katse? I thought our favorite mutant died in episode 105? Any full-body shots of what looks like a cool costume?

Hi all

That would be the redesign of Berg Katse done for the OAVs. Heres what he looked like:

I hope this helps!

Wasn't Katse one of the few who was renamed in the OAVs, Solaris or something like that?

I just KNOW James is going to correct me on this, but I believe that was only for the English version. In the Japanese version I know the voice also switched back and forth from male to female.

Yes, Solaris was the name used for Katse in the Urban Vision English dub, but in the original Japanese version, his name was left unchanged. Katse's voice did not switch back and forth from male to female in the OAVs. Aside from the one scene with the Lady Katse in OAV Vol. 2 (Where she was voiced by Ai Origasa), Katse was voiced entirely by one man, the late Kanto Shiozawa.

Regarding the frequency of the Episode of the Week, the new plan is that each episode will be reviewed on Mondays, and that TJ will be alternating weeks with Saturn and me.

So, episode 46 won't be appearing today, but rather on Monday, Sept. 14, and then episode 47 on Monday, Sept. 21, and episode 48 on Monday, Sept. 28 etc., etc.

So, tune in on Monday for episode 46!

Thank you for the update LB. I did look briefly for the review today and then when I did not see it wondered if that schedule had been changed.
