On Thursday, one of the (my favourite) Charlie Angle star Farrah Fawcett, the ex-wife of Lee Majors (Six Million Dollar Man) died from cancer.

Usually you will hear at least one star dies on a day, but 2 stars, one in music and one in TV and film.......

Hearing such news always gives me the creeps. I'm aware that a large number of lives end each day all over the world but when I hear about someone's death in particular, especially someone that I know or someone that I looked up to during my childhood days and even at present, it's a wake up call for me. These events remind me that life is short and that we have to live it as best as we can .... and that all of us are humans no matter who we are!

That is well said gatchamarie. When Heath Ledger passed away last year, it really shook my students. He was someone they had grown up with in terms of celebrities and they had lots of conversations about their own mortality after that.

I saw parts of the Farrah special too - I am sure she is more then just "Charlie's" angel now.

I was sad to hear about this .... and, unfortunately, it seems to have been overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death.

We lost two icons yesterday.
