How much are you alike?
Just from comments in various threads I'm wondering how much like our favourite character we really are...
There has to be a connection other than male or female and cute.
I'm a swan, and I know I can be girly at times like Princess...

I don't know how much *like* the Swan I am, but I see her as a kind of ideal: strong, intelligent and capable.

A man I'm not but I surely resemble Ken in character! I abide by rules and commands a lot but when I do not agree with them I plunge head on with my ideals, sometimes making others swear for what I do! I do like to ponder a lot on things and I do perhaps give an image of a scout but has a bad girl inside that sometimes needs to pop out! I tend to do a lot myself just to lighten things from others and care a lot for those who depend on me. The fact that my mum passed away in much the same way as Ken's was surely a casualty. I surely did not plan it! I may sound raw but I like to joke on serious things just to ease off a bit of tension and sadness (do I now resemble Jinpei or Ryu?!).
All in all, do you find you see a glimpse of every character in you some time in your lives when encountering different events? I have lots of faces!

I'm not a man either, but I do have some common traits with Ego! We're both mean and ambitious, though no way I would murder my family or former friends to get power! But I'd love to rule the world , or at least to ramp through Utoland aboard a mecha!
I have the same fiery temper as Ego, and I love guns and blades!
Beside our sense for evil, I too love classical music, gothic castles and everything that has to do with Medieval Era! Wine isn't much our common point.
Oh, and we both seem to have a dislike for Nambu and Ken and good guys in general! Ego has a good reason for it, mine is flair!

ITA with Gatchamarie's idea of having different facets represented by different characters and at different times. I think if I wasn't a Swan, I'd have to be a Condor as I have lots of those facets!
I think I am a Swan for reasons similar to TJ - there are ideas I have about what that means that I want to identify with, even if I don't have all of those traits or capabilities. Maybe in that case it is like identifying with an alter-ego vs. a reflected self?

Kind of like I identify with the Eagle, even though I think I have more of an Owl personality. The Eagle has many of the traits I wish to see more of in myself. I know there are some Eagle traits in me and some of them stand out in certain situations, but most of the time I would rather stand back and watch others take the lead, doing all the hard work, while I follow in their footsteps.

Well, I am certainly not angry or impulsive, but I think I do tend to be close-mouthed about my feelings and problems (or so the BF has said...) and I think I'm, by nature, inclined to feel like a second-in-command, not a leader.
Even with BOTP as a kid, I always liked Jason the best, and when I discovered Gatchaman, I liked Joe even more.
AND, I just got a speeding ticket this morning on the way to work (my own damned fault)!

Swan traits for me would be the maternal side and the need to keep harmony in my family. I was also mad keen on science as a child and really wanted a bike, that idea was stopped when a cousin died on his at 16. I love meditation and am trying to get trained properly in it. I even learnt to play guitar (although unlike the swan I was not very good at it lol)
Eagle wise - Not really a boy scout but I would love more than anything to soar through the clouds soI could experience that sense of freedom. I can take the lead and make decisions
Have to admit though I can be a bit condorish at times, when frustrated by something my hot head comes out and I speak my mind. There are also times when I want nothing more than to have my own space and do things my way.
I probably have traits of the others too just not really sat and thought about it too much.

Some more of my Swan traits...I like to be my own boss! She does to since she runs the Snack J.I'm also the one who sorts out issues in my family between my sisters. Especially when we were younger and my dad couldn't handle girls arguments.

I hear you there, Ebony! I am absolutely the family mediator. I hadn't thought about that aspect in my catalog of traits. Maybe there is a little bit more Swan in me already then I thought? I will have to ponder this. (However I'm still positive that I can't pull of the pink mini-dress and thigh-high white boots!)
