Happy Easter/ Passover!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter/ Passover! I was watching "Here Comes Peter cottontail" with my daughter (Casey Kasem is the voice of Peter Cottontail), and decided to do a quick sketch of Mark finding an Easter egg...

Just close your eyes and imagine Mark singing this...okay...don't...it will tarnish the Commander's image!! pound

Happy Easter, everyone

Here is a quick Easter postcard from the Easter, umm, Gatcha bunnies.

This Easter is also the first time I organise an Easter egg hunt in my neighborhood. People in my country don't really have an Easter tradition with the Easter bunny and Easter eggs, so this year I am trying to lift up the Easter spirit, Big Grin.

After lots of persuasion, I managed to convince my college students to dress up in bunny costumes (well, not actually a costume, just regular T-shirt and jeans, accessoried by bunny ears, we don't have costume shops here unlike in western countries, Smile ) and hide all the eggs around the neighborhood.

The kids were having a blast in the hunt this morning after the mass, in fact there were many children coming from other neighborhoods after hearing about this Easter Egg hunt, so in the end there were not enough hidden eggs for every kids. thankfully we had prepared more eggs in advance to prepare for situations like this. Now that it is over, it is time for me to enjoy my own chocolate Easter eggs, ciao!!

The BF had made a bunch of hard-boiled eggs earlier in the week, so yesterday I got inspired to go buy some food-colouring and dye them like my brother, sister and I used to do when we were young -it was fun. I'm afraid that putting the Gatch symbol on them would have been beyond my ability -I don't have a wax pen. Next year...

That image is perfect for Easter, Saturn! Bunny Laugh1 I would never have thought have that one!

I hope your Egg hunt goes well. When I was a little, my parents would hide the eggs that my brother, sister and I had dyed all around the house and we would hunt for them on Easter morning. One year, my Dad decided to hide one egg in my goldfish bowl. The dye came off and stained the water pink -which made its location quite obvious!- but the fish survived.

Springie, I spent the time looking at your Easter pic of Mark, and had a hard time keeping the laughter down.

We had a fun easter celebration - the 5th annual Easter BEER hunt - my boss hosts a party every year for the whole staff and hides 200 pony-sized beers all over her yard. It is really fun to watch grown ups scrambling under bushes and over fences trying to get the most "eggs". I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays this weekend.

Now that is my idea of an Easter hunt! Pint

I have, myself, been eating egg salad sandwiches for lunch the last couple days. The hardboiled eggs I dyed for Easter, some of them were slightly cracked and the dyes seeped under the shells a bit and discoloured the surface of the eggs, and it's a bit weird to be mashing up the eggs in a bowl and seeing blue, pink and green bits in there! They taste fine, though.

I am a big fan of "rainbow egg salad" - my mother made it from all of our cracked easter eggs every year.

I remember as a kid, not enjoying the eggs that were coloured, I thought they were "not right" and I might get sick. No, of course I know different, and I end up being one of the grown ups to eat the cracked eggs. LOL
