Spandau bloody ballet

I am sooo angry at them.

I love 80's music, especially the early 80's and when they announced the original line up were touring I was excited.

Pre sale this morning, went on line to get my tkt for the NEC Birmingham and its £60 a ticket ! plus booking fees, postage etc which brings it to £70.

I'm not paying that on principle, they are just being greedy. Thats double what a tkt normally costs.

I didnt pay that when Duran did a gig in london for the launch of their last album and Duran are my faves.

GRRRRR I'm so angry and their blatent profiteering

Veritas, I hear you! The price of concert tickets these days is outrageous, and that's when you buy them legitimately!

FWIW, this may be their one 'comeback' tour, and so they're tyring to make as much money from it as they can. But it's still not very considerate to the fans.

Duran Duran is one of my favorites too! thumbsup2

If you think that's bad, try going to the cinema and couple of packets of sweets and coffee. I went during the week when I wasn't working, mostly Thrusday or Friday to watch whatever film interest me. The price was about £5 altogether and with the ticket, it would have been about £10, a bit expensive but I wasn't going every day, just at least 2 or 3 times a month depending on the film.

But now, as I have found out it costs £7 for 2 packets of sweets and a coffee, I was almost bursting into tears. The price of the tickets haven't gone up much and is £5 and whatever change, which means that I am spending about £12 or £13 altogether.

I am sorely tempted just wait until the films go on DVD and then rent them out, either at Blockbusters or Lovefilm.com as it's miuch, much cheaper.

Are they calling it the "Bought a Ticket to the World, but Now I've Come Back Again" tour?

That's about $100 in US dollars -I agree, that's a lot to pay for a concert.

Put a smile on my face as well. Biggrins

As did getting 6th row tickets for Duran at Edinburgh castle FOR £ 44 ! Do you hear that spandau !

Tickets are rather expensive for concerts now. My thought is, they should ask for a cheaper ticket price, then sell lots of goodies inside for a slightly higher price. I know more then a couple of people that have a multitude of concert t's along with other small items. Even though they were big time extra.

I know what you mean- Its cheaper to buy the DVD of the concert. They charge an arm and a leg to come to Australia for any concerts.
