And why not?

Banker tells a gripping tale, of Love and duty in a timeless hind.

Yes, and Ravena `does` have ten heads...and this is made believable.

Hindu mythology, I take it? I haven't heard of this author, but it does sound interesting. Roger Zelazny sort of retold the Siddartha story in "Lords of Light" (except with a sci-fi premise) and I enjoyed it a lot.
