Galactor have found me...
Late last night I was at my computer writing some of my fanfic when I heard four Distinct sounds that sounded like gun shots close by then a car with a loud engine raced down our small quiet street....
Now some would say I was just emotionally involved in the action scene I was writing or it was just DH watching the TV......
But the next morning when I'm still in my fluffy pink dressing gown and messy hair the cops come knocking on my door wondering if we saw anything of the incident that happened late last night at around 11pm....
I was so close to saying "Oh no! Galactor have found me!!!" And "Is the Science Ninja team onto it? Was it the Condor racing after them up the street?"
Cause it sounded just like something straight out of Gatchaman unfolding in my very street.
Now drive by shootings might happen all the time in the USA...but in Sydney Australia, its not that common.
I'm just lucky they didn't target our house cause DH was in the lounge room at the front of the house. They did hit a few houses at the end of the street which is only a few meters from our house.... talk about lucky!

I hope Sydney isn't going the same way as Toronto is lately ...

Could be worse, it could have been a Mech-by-shooting. In Britian, it has been occasionally in the news with shootings and knifings.

MET;Yes my morning uniform is my fluffy pink dressing gown. I've heard about the problems they're having in London with stabbings...its bad isn't it, really bad.
Drive by shootings aren't something that happen on a regular basis in Sydney.
Sydney's more spread out as a city, and it has a higher population than other cities in Australia, but not the population like some of the US cities. It didn't wake up the girls, thank goodness...
But the time it happened my youngest was due for her bottle, DH prepared it minutes after for her. Talk about timing.

Sometimes the world is so scary. But its beautiful too and I have tried to remember that in all of my city living.
