No, not Yatta-Ruff. It's 1-Rover-1 Week here on Gatchamania!!!
Okay, let's put up some classic pictures of the bolt-eating canine. Let's see...
Here is Rover sitting around watching Zark. Notice the excited expression in his eyes.
Here Rover salutes G-Force, emulating Zark's beloved mannerism:
And last.... who could every forget River's tail-spinning helicopter move as he flies across the room?

I always thought it would be great to have a dog like Rover.
I think a robotic dog would be fun - with the added bonus of not having to take it for walks in the rain or clean up after it. 
Does anyone remember those robotic dogs that came out years ago? I think they might have been called gizmos or something like that. They did not do much except walk and bark, but at that time that was something exceptional.

From what I remember, it did have a whippy tail like Rover. Unfortunately it never seemed to fly while I was watching. (In my childish imagination all my toys came alive in the middle of the night and had time to play by themselves. So who knows how the dog moved in the middle of the night.)

Yes! that is what I was talking about.
Only the one I had when I was a child was blue.
If this works this is an image of the one my brother had. (It matched his Blueberry MAC) I had one similar to the image you showed.

No nothing like that.
Probably a very early version of the first one you showed. Limited functions since the computer age was just beginning. What my brother and I were given was considered very futuristic at the time. (remember back then computers with any size of memory were still the size of small rooms.)
