I'm still around...kinda.

Hi Everyone...

Just letting you know I might only have time to post in one or two threads for a while.

I'm trying to get my story finished and be a mother of two kids instead of one.

My 18 month old daughter is becoming very clingy since her baby sister came home a few days ago. If her little sister cries she decides to cry too, and then bed time has become a drama. Just a little girl trying to come to terms with sharing her mum with a baby.

Catie tried to feed her sister (While she was in the rocker) a biscuit... and then she got hold of her own bottle of milk and she decided the baby might like some too...and then tried to shove it into her mouth today...yes it all ended in tears... (Especially when mum got involved and took the bottle off her.)

Ahhhh the joys of motherhood!!! (But I'm loving it.)

I can imagine how busy you must be! I'm sure things will get easier for you as everyone, especially Catie, adjusts to the changes and settles into new patterns. It's sweet that Catie was trying to feed her sister, though, even if it wasn't quite the right food for a small baby!

Awww...I know there is going to be an adjustment period for your little family, Ebony! Just do what you can and try to take some time for yourself whenever possible! I remember those days when the only solitude I had was to take a shower! And even then, I had little knocks on the door...

FWIW, Ebony, it took me about 6 months to fully adjust to having twi kids and settling into a new routine. It may take you less time since you're not starting with a newborn (who changes more in 6 months in needs/demands than a baby who is already halfway to being a toddler.

We understand, and we will be here for you when you are ready. Huggles

Ebony, any time you get to chat with us will be great. Until then, just enjoy the time with the kids and make whatever adjustments. I don't think we will travel to far, from these sites!
