New images/teaser trailer for Gatchaman movie!!!

I don't know if anyone has written about this but I was just looking on the Imagi International website and they have a few new images and a short teaser trailer for the upcoming Gatchaman movie!!!

Thanks for telling us about this!

Short it is! -about 15 seconds, but it does show what I think is Joe's car, and the God Phoenix. I wish it showed some of the characters.

Still, the fact that Imagi is posting new things for the movie on their site has to be a good sign.

Of the new images, from what I can tell, I think some are from the clip that Imagi was showing at the Comic Con, but there is a new one of Ken, in birdstyle. It's not a close-up, but it looks good.

Hi all!

I was just coming to post about this! After all this time, it's certainly nice to see some action on their site. Some of the pictures are familiar, as they appeared earlier on Felix's blog, but some are new.

For those who don't know where the Imagi website is, it can be found at:

http://www.imagi.com.hk/web/

Check it out!

Thank you for the notification.
And thanks James for the link... I would have needed to go searching for it otherwise.

Thank yo uso much for telling us about this! I have been checking the Imagi site but not recently. This is terrific!

I'm so glad that they finally released some thing. It makes me feel like they're actually working on it!

Isnt that Joe?

Its a pretty bad show if we cant tell Ken and Joe apart...

And the clip...it looks like a computer game. And I see they have managed to get the OAV Phoenix unmothballed...

To be fair, what you're seeing there is a blow up of a very small portion of a low resolution image. That it's difficult to make out details or clearly distinguish between one character and another is understandable. Despite what so many TV shows try to tell you, the Magic Photo Clean-Up computer programs that can make even the lowest resolution images look like something photographed by Ansel Adams are very hard to come by in the real world.

Yes, but one wears white and the other dark blue and brown....we should be able to tell the difference.

I see white on that figure: with blue gloves/arms and boots/legs.
I can also see the red backing of the wings behind the body... although at first I did wonder where the wings were.

In the TV series, yes. We have no idea exactly what their color schemes will be like in the movie. Likewise, we have no idea how those uniforms will react to different types of lighting and shading, such as the dark and poorly lit room shown in that image.

Or, perhaps it is Joe, and they simply made a mistake is captioning it as "Gatchaman poised for action." Don't forget, we have no context within which to place this or any of the other images.

Thanks for the reminder. I haven't checked Imagi's site in a while either. The images look great so far. I wish they would show more pics of the characters....

I did have to blow it up quite a lot. But it seems that it's Ken to me, as the main part of the uniform is white and the inside of the wings is red.

Thanks Tats for the information...

I wondered where his wings were as well at first....

I thought it was Ken, even before I read the "Gatchaman" description - I think it was the white, and the hints of red wings.

A David Labraccio of the BOTP mailing list enlarged and lightened the image of Ken.

Much better than mine! Thanks, LB!

Thanks LB.
I think he must have lightened it as well, I would say.

I had just been thinking of asking if anyone would be able to do some screen captures for me. Seeing as I have not been able to figure out how to do it for myself, as of yet.

Opppps, sorry, maybe that is not something I should be asking seeing as they are Imagi property ... but I would still love to have them

I'd help you, but I don't have any programs that can do screen captures, or at least none that I'm aware of (which is quite possibly a good thing, as I would likely spend hours with my DVDs, producing nothing but captures of Joe).

Yes you are a Mac person as well, it is so hard to find free image capture programs for Mac's. At least I have not found one yet, not that I have done an extensive search, especially from DVD's. As you said I would be spending all my free time capturing Eagles and Condors.

Ooooo, Capturing Eagles .... that sounds kind of kinky. Hiding 2
