Hi all!
The Comic Con doesn't officially start until Thursday, though with the unofficial start is Preview Night is on Wednesday evening. No one (Beyond possibly some of the convention organizers) is actually at the Convention Center setting anything up yet. That all happens on Wednesday.
A number of people have started arriving in San Diego already, but mostly for reasons other than the convention itself. Some people are taking a few days to enjoy the sights around the city, for example. For Heather and myself, we both have family that live in San Diego, so we're taking the opportunity to see them before the convention starts.
Anyway, the proper festivities won't start for another couple of days.

I do hope to hear something from the birds at the con, though, in the days to come.

I love to go Kayaking!!! (I mainly go in rivers, the last time I went it was in Noumea.)
This is also a reason I'm not Keen to surf or sea kayak in South Australia... The Great Australian bite.
