The Condor's beloved shuriken

I have just read that a shuriken wasn't never really used at all by any ninja in Japan's history and was just a fictional weapon.

Actually, you're wrong, Met. If you're talking about Joe's feather shuriken, then it is an entirely fictional weapon.

But the shuriken was used as a weapon in Japan's history.

If you want to read the COMPLETE history of the shuriken, then check out this file. It's rather long at 94 pages, but it makes for very interesting reading. And it has actual photos of real shuriken.

I was reading this on wikipedia and was reading the Associated equipment section.

I knew that the feather shuriken was a fictional weapon (the Galactor Goons will be frilled to hear that) but don't tell the Condor though.

But I did say that it "wasn't never really used" and by that I meant that it was harldy used by the ninja, but heck what do I know.

Oh and I also just found this on wikipedia as well.

Sadly, I don't really rely too much on Wikipedia when doing research. I've found some of the data there to be woefully incomplete or some are just speculation. I prefer to get my information from other, more reliable sources.

Sorry if I offended you in any way.

Can you provide some pictures of the real Shuriken?

Met I did some looking around... Its great that you took an interest to point it out to us.

I can see how they thought to attach the feather to create the Condors weapon.

Its sleek in design, and very simple.

I think this is the problem with Wikipedia, as some, as you said, of the information is incomplete, speculation or just incorrect.

I found a bit of information on the Toxic Avenger film where someone put eye seeing dog, whcih i corrected to guide dog and no you haven't offended me but if you think you have, then mine's a pint and just put it on the tab.

I don't use Wikipedia much, I just surf the net for information on a topic if I need it...some of the information people put there is interesting.

I've noted one thing on Rory's article: Ken means Blade! So Gatchaman's name would be Blade Washio? Too bad Katse wasn't a vampire!!

Actually, the kanji used for Ken's name means "health," not "blade." Same pronounciation, different meaning. Kind of like "to," "two," and "too" in the English language.

I love the pic, and the way Joe had to put his name on his shuriken. Maybe he needs something on the back.

If found, please drop in any mailbox. Postage return to ISO Headquarters is prepaid from any country. ROFL 2
