Hello Gatchamaniacs Wave2

Thought I would just make this announcement to members new and old regarding the rubber room and the site in general to clear up any confusion.

Gatchamania.net is quite a liberal site and has been since before my arrival. I believe this is one of the reasons the site has been so successful over the years and I wish to preserve this. I do not believe in complete censorship, if someone finds something offensive they do not need to read or view it, that is their choice and I will not impede on others fun because of this.

We do have rules about how members are expected to behave towards one another, these rules are enforced but I do give benefit of the doubt in most situations.

There are many sites out their that you may have, from experience, come across where their is a certain clique who view themselves as above newcomers and the like and this is something I have tried to keep from happening here at Gatch and something I am glad to see doesn't exist here.

Inevitably people do not get along with one another, there have been complaints made by members in the past about how they regard someone's behaviour as not fitting in with what they think the site represents.

These people often say something along the lines of "If you do not do something about it I am leaving", to which I will always say "Be my guest".

Others have left simply because a decision did not go their way but to these, again it is their choice.

All this said, I am obliged to ensure that members are not harassed and if any member feels something is inappropriate or that they are being abused then they may report the matter to me and I will on a case by case basis review the matter.

I will also review threads, posts, gallery and fic's uploads to ensure that any material uploaded is not inappropriate, after all as the site owner I must abide by rules myself Wink1

Recently there has been a number of pictures uploaded in the Rubber room of an adult nature, I would like to state clearly,

These images have been perfectly acceptable, they are not by any means the reason for why I have made this announcement.

I recently decided though that as part of my responsibility to you all, that I should set out a clear explanation of what you can and cannot post on the site.

It would hardly be fair of me to reprimand a member if they were simply not given enough information beforehand.

Unfortunately this has led a few members into thinking they have done something wrong and I would like to reassure these members that they have not done anything wrong and I am thankful for their contributions past and present and hope they will continue do contribute to the site biggrin2

Hopefully this has cleared up any misunderstanding. Feel free to pose questions and if you are unsure about the general site rules please refer to the Rules and Conditions of use which can be found in the footer of every web page on the site.

In addition I would like to add that none of the measures taken were in response to a compliant, I just felt they needed to be done.
