Gatchaman fantasy soundtrack

So if you were choosing the incidental music for Gatchaman (any version) what would you choose?

I'd start off with the 4+ minutes of screaming guitar instrumental from Freebird by Lynnrd Skynnrd, to be used in appropriate fragments as flying music and Phoenix attacking music. And also Climbatize by The Prodigy, which would be damn good flying music too and has a bit that would work really well for the Phoenix underwater.

So, what would you choose, and what sort of on-screen stuff would it accompany?

That's an interesting question, meridianday. I would probably stick to some kind of funky disco music to match the clothes and cars. I would put Disco Inferno to the fiery phoenix scenes. Roll

Oh, I love that idea, Fairlight! And Freebird would be fab, too, Meridian!

I always wanted to do a vid for the Ken and Jun scenes to the tune of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" Winknudge

Oh...and the ending could be "Long Time" from Boston...

oh yeah...and maybe "Renegade" from Styx for some of the Joe BC Island scenes...

As you can see...I'm pretty Old School...teehee...

If we visit the eighties we can add Another One Bites the Dust by Queen for fight scenes. That would work for Joe especially....

Steve walks warily down the street,
With the brim pulled way down low
Aint no sound but the sound of his feet,
Machine guns ready to go

How about 'We Are the Champions' for the end of each episode... to replace the happy Shupa trumpet music?

Although... I kind of LIKE the happy Shupa trumpet music.... Hiding

Hmmmm...this would be so much fun!!!

Let's see...what I'm listening to now...

For general battle mayhem:

Rage Against the Machine: Killing In the Name
Crystal Method: Keep Hope Alive
Motorhead: Ace of Spades
Metallica: Master of Puppets
Doors: Light My Fire

For Joe:

Anything by AC/DC preferably Bon Scott era...

For Joe's token female interest (ie Dead Meat du jour):

Deep Purple: Strange Kind of Woman
Fleetwood Mac: Gold Dust Woman

For the Swan:

Anything ABBA...pretty much anything she could dance to...

Hmmmm...I guess anything from the '70's would fit nicely...
