I saw this when I woke up this morning but typically it melted by the afternoon.

During the week it was a typically warmish weather (10 to 11 C) and dry and wet. It was freezing last night and again tonight. Hopefully my heating will keep me nice and warm.

That's looks like our biggest snowfall this winter...it melted by 9am...
oh well, it is getting warmer and everything is blossoming now...and my car is covered in pollen! Now I am ready for summer...

It's our first proper snowfall this winter - bearing in mind that it's well into spring now. My daffodils are all out and my cherry tree is about to burst into blossom.

Ooh, not really the weather one wants to see in April. I'm glad it melted quickly. When I lived in Canada, it wasn't so unusual. Here in Indiana, there isn't much snow ever. Today, I was doing yardwork in a t-shirt, and sweating (mostly because I was hacking away at packed soil with a rake, trying to till it up before spreading grass seed -not fun!) I am excited that the bulbs I planted in the fall are coming up.

Hope you enjoyed the white stuff while it lasted! It's supposed to be consistently in the 50's here this week (12+ C), so I'm excited. The cherry trees outside where Iwork started blooming last week, so I'm pretty happy. I love their scent and they're always my reminder that spring is making a comeback.

My crocuses are nearly all open, but the daffodils and tulips aren't quite there yet. I didn't plant the daffodils or tulips -they were already there. My problem now is that I can't remember exactly what kinds of bulbs I planted where, back in October, so green things are poking out of the ground, but I won't know what they are until they bloom.

Our backyard is a "work in progress". The former owners didn't take care of it. Other than Chicks & Hens and the Chinese Lanterns...it's lacking in greenery. The "lawn"...and I use that term lightly...definitely needs seeding and a whole lot of TLC.
I'll have to see amongst my friends whose perrenials need thinning out...and what I can scavenge from the garden center dumpster at work!
