Yup! I am an Auntie to a little boy!!
My brother and his lady had their first child yesterday: March 19.
That date sound familiar?
Why yes.
Yesterday was also Joshie's birthday.
Want to hear eerie?
My mum's birthday was also yesterday ...
Oh, and it's also my Aunt's birthday ...
<snickers>
We have five grandkiddies for my mum. Three girls, two boys.
The first two little girls are named after my mum. The third little one is the complete living mini-me of mum.
So when I fell pregnant and told my mum that I was having a boy, she whined about how was he to share a connection with her? I chuckled and said that even though his due date was the 31st of March that I would see what I could do about squeezing him out in time for the 19th.
at 4:30am March 19, my water broke - within 12 hours out he came.
Happy birthday mum!
Two and a bit years later we learn Karl (my bro) was expecting and due late April. I joked to mum that perhaps we should request to the deities that the wee boy come early ...
Eerily enough, at 8am March 19th, her water broke. The little guy arrived six weeks early!
So ... yeah ... All girls connected to mum by name or personality/appearance and the boys - by birthdate.
Cool, huh?
But YAAAAAAAAAAAY My big brother finally has a little one!!!

We didn't do it with birthdays, we did it with wedding anniversaries. I didn't know at the time I picked our wedding date, but after I did my husband said that date's familiar. He went to his book (yeah he has a book that he keeps all important dates to remember in, I was impressed, I just use my brain lol)
and we found out that his other two brothers got married on the same day!
So now on April 18th we all call each other and say happy anniversary.

In my family we have only close birth dates. My dad's birthday is on February 13th, and my sister's on Feb. 14th. Her wedding anniversary on Nov. 15 and my on Nov. 16th. That's the closest we get

In August, it's my dad's birthday first, then my older brother's and then mine.

Congrats SJ! My family (including extended family and in-laws) doesn't have particular dates in common but there seems to be little clusters of B-days.
There's an Aries cluster- April 11-my cousin, April 12-DH's cousin, April 13-me, April 14-S-I-L, April 15-niece. Of course they're all different years. I can see a bit of common personality traits, most notably alot of sarcasm! LOL! I will have to dig out the astrology books....

Hmmm! and I notice that the Owl, who Just had his birthday in a Pisces, but on the cusp so he would have a lot of the Aries characteristics as well.
I guess that is why I relate to him so well, me being on the Pisces/Aries cusp. Although I think I have a few more Aries qualities than the Owl does.
