Heavens, that's expensive. I think it's more than the RRP, although I can't remember exactly. Perhaps the seller is hoping to catch those over-eager bidders who don't check how much an item costs elsewhere before buying it - I've seen that happen plenty of times before, but usually with japanese import items.

1 pound / episode isn't too bad, really, when you look at cost per hour of enjoyment, or going to the movies.

Then again, if you look at cost to produce for a large studio, it's outrageous.

Still, it's buyer beware. The true value of something is what you can get someone to pay for it -- witness Antiques Roadshow.

Well, I mightn't consider the price so bad if I didn't know I could get it for about 25% less on Amazon. That's the thing isn't it, people will pay what they're prepared to pay, but nearly everyone would rather pay the lower rather than the higher price for exactly the same thing.

Apparently the RRP is now бё89.99, but I'm sure it was lower a while back. Perhaps that's before the studio released the blurb about what the set actually contains. It's not due out until later this month.

On Amazon the price is 89.99 RRP and it is still showing as 25% off.

I have been keeping an eye on it in case they put the release date back at present it is still showing the 24th (monday) and I should get mine on Tuesday all being well Big Grin
