Good Nookie Book

First, I credit SJ for the inspiration for this post...

* bows down to SJ* Thank you Swannie...

SJ got me thinking about those books that you passed around amoungst your friends that enhanced (or severely distorted ) your views on sex as a pre-teen or a teenager....

She suggested 'Her' which I haven't heard of...

Mine:

Wifey by Judy Blume

My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday

Come on...don't be shy! SPILL!

Thank you...thank you... No autographs, just throw money!!

*scratches head* Good nookie book...good nookie book. Aside fron 'her' which was just sex (wish i could remember the author) I can't think of anything else besides 'Are You There God, it's me Margaret' and I don't think that actually has nookie - it just confuses you more about puberty.

Videos, however....<grin> Oh we were good at that! Flesh Gordon was a fav back when i was in grade 2 (yeah I started my deviance early)

The folk's porn flicks were raided when I was in that pre-teen/teenager stage.

My visual 'enlightenment'came from a baby sitting job when I discovered The Devil in Miss Jones amongst the family videos....

The title that always gets me giggling is Good Will Humping!

Another book that comes to mind (again from a babysitting job), Lady Chatterly's Lover.

This one isn't a book, but rather an story about a book. Not sure if I've advertised it here before or not. From this site, chose "naked came the stranger"

Naked Came the Stranger

Also, the ever popular Gray's Anatomy, and "How to talk to your kids about Sex".

Me too, though not my favorite reference book, it works as a companion. (Snirks at Cricket's twisted sense of humor)

Though if you want an anatomy/art book that /really/ might double as a nookie type book, might I suggest "Anatomy for the Artist" by Sarah Simblet Anatomy At Amazon

I have never really been into nookie books. When I was about 10 I remember a Ladybird "where did I come from" book doing the rounds and getting giggled over massively because it had small picures of naked people in it.

When I was at college I recall some of the other kids being late into class, and the lecturer had caught them in the library and said it was because they'd found a book in the library which said "how gay men actually do it" (I believe that's the phrase verbatim, but remember this is 19 years ago). Well, sad little me was too shy to ask about the book's title, being certain I wanted it for embarrassingly different reasons to them, but I spent a lot of time in that library looking for it. Never found it, of course. <sigh>

Course, once the internet came along.... Bounce2 Evil3

Used to be in the high school library club.

I remember one of the older assistants, grandmotherly type, being very neutral about mentioning to call numbers of a section that needed tidying, again, to one fo the other adults. Something in the science and anataomy section.

Apparently every few months, a different group of boys would realize they could get some sneak peeks, and these books were upstairs, as opposed to the National Geographic, which were downstairs, and didn't really have that good a ratio of issues with "native women" to those without.

I think the closest thing I had to nookie when I was about 10 - 12 was the womens underwear section of the Kays catalog Biglaugh2

I have to agree with the comment about the Merry Gentry series by L.K.H, reminds me to see if the 3rd book has been released......

If you don't mind reading what i call "porn on paper" any of the Black Lace books make good reading, they do contain pretty good plots but it really is about the sex.....They are written by women for women.

I don't remember sneaking peaks at any particular books when i was school age but my imagination started pretty young.........i was probably under 10 when those kind of thoughts were kicking in, i remember having all sorts of thoughts about a certain character from a certain animated show...... Tongue

Call me a sick bitch if you will but my creative mind started really young, just took me years more to do anything about it.lol
