Have You Seen This?

I stumbled upon this page, and cracked up at some of the pictures...I hadn't seen this before, so I wasn't sure if anyone else had, either. I just thought it was fun to look at...

I especially enjoyed the different ways to unmask a Galactor goon on the next page...

One more site that should be mentioned...

Ayako's Production Diaries

It hasn't been updated since 2000 but it is still worth a read.

I'm a huge fan of Ayako's Production Diaries. Have been since the late 90s. Love her Japanese Phrase of the Day pages as well.

Now I'm off to check out more of the site that Springie mention. Wink

Hope you enjoy the site, Tim, it has certainly given me more than a few chuckles...

Now here's a description that leaves me scratching my head and saying, "WTH???????"

Take a look and see if you can make any sense out of this...

Weird BOTP Description

quote:
It forces of the gravity was done of the heroic Mark, Jason bad-tempered, Keyop unwarranted, Tiny and challenged, and, of course, the Princess (the sigh). The 7-Zark-7 was aggregated in the exposition, often to treat and to tie the conspiracy of Neptune Central, its underwater base. In the subsequent expositions that was united by robot "adorable", 1-Rover-1.

HUH????

quote:
Casey Kasem provides the voice for the Mark. The was also the voice behind Hairy in Scooby Doo, and in a DJ American.Janet Waldo provided the shameful voice of Princess...

Oh my, who ever wrote that should hang their head in shame or either stop using Babelfish to do their translations.

What a strange write-up. It lists Casey Kasem as Hairy in Scooby Doo? WTF? It also lists Janet Waldo as the voice of Josie (which is true) but misses that she also did the voice of Judy from the Jetsons (which is a more common reference). That reminds me... I want to pick up the Josie DVD for Christmas. Wink

It also mentions the music was by Hoyt S. Curtin (correct) but it goes to mention Ed Wood (which has a negative connotation IMNSHO) and not the fact that Curtin also composed the themes for the Flinstones, Jetsons, Jonny Quest (best theme song evar!), Superfriends, and so on.

Actually after reading the page again I'm sure it wasn't originally written in English but translated with babelfish or something like it. I mean really... "Riders of Aguila" (what a weird way of saying Eagle Riders).

Very strange. Wink

And don't forget, Janet Waldo was the "shameful" voice of Princess, too...

and, you know, the show is also known as...

quote:
Also Known As: It forces of the gravity ( US ) (the informal alternative title)

Lol2

Ya, very weird. It just shows how emotionally charged some words can be. That article almost reminded me of something found on wikipedia. Wink

It looked to me like someone who wasn't familiar with English wrote it. I hadn't thought about the possibility of Babelfish...

You know, those were originally made by Katse here, and they're still on the individual sections in the Kit Katse Klub.
