Oh Gosh ... I need an Aussie's help!!
I have been listening to an Aussie radio station here at work during the day (yeah, I'm homesick, okay?!) ... I have totally, and absolutely, fallen in love with a singer and Gosh darn HAVE to find a way to get her CD's.
Can any Australian's on board help me out, please??
I absolutely ADORE Missy Higgins!!
I have GOT TO get her CD's!!
Now I did an Ebay search, and found the prices to be simply unacceptable - especially when combines with exorbitant Shipping rates - $35 for a fucking CD??? Nuh-uh ....
Anyway - of any of our Aussies with a paypal account could help a desperate Swan out, I'd be deeply deeply and life longingly devoted and appreciative of it.
I just love all of her music!!
Gosh - I have to have it!!

he just HAS to release in North America! Noone I've played her music to has anything bad to say.

I nearly choked.
God, I usually get my CD's for under $20 for a new release at Future Shop ... $33 feels pretty painful.
$50 for ten songs ... Hmmm ... maybe I'll check my iTunes store instead and digitally purchase it ....
I'll look into it more (it's currently distracting me from War angst for a bit)

Shes the best! I love her music too. I have her album, Sounds of white. You should be able to get through Virgin online store.
The whole album is great! ?She won the music awards last year for best new talent.
She even sings with an Aussie Accent!

My Eagle helped with a site when it was first being put together, that you buy all Aussie made stuff and have it shipped out to you.
He worked with the guy who started it, the guy offered him a job to run it for him, but my Darling Husband decided to stay with Telstra because it was not enough money.
I can't think of the name off hand at the moment, I will when I ask DH though... but it is still around and doing very well.
I rememeber the meeting they had about it, and talking to the guy about it at the Friday night Telstra after work drinks...
(I worked in the city then, and that is what you on a Friday night after work, I met all his work mates then, good times!)

Oh, GOD!!
About two months ago a girl here at work came back from an Aussie holiday and brought me a pack of Tim Tams ... I did my best to try and ration my intake to make them last ...
And then ...
Josh found them.
I ate only two of them ... he destroyed the rest.
I was mortified!
And now. I am out of Vegemite (again ... sighhhh) ...
I did find a nifty site called something like homesick aussie .com or something like that. Tee prices were actually pretty decent for their baskets. It's the shipping that's brutal. In some instances the cost was about three-times the cost of the basket.
I couldn't stomach paying $100 for a handful of chocolates and a Woman's Day mag.
I did browse the Arnott's site and considered paying the $50 for a case of Tim Tams .... I mean, Flash would let me ... But ...

I am such a cheapskate. I suppose that comes from working in a retail corporate office and actually seeing just how ridiculous mark-ups really are ....
Anyhoo - I may get off my ass today and buy Missy's CD on iTunes ...
But, yeah, if any of you Aussies are feeling pity for this little transplanted sheila, feel free to spoil me with yummies - LOL!
