Meridian the cave woman?

Cave house

This isn't far from where I live - maybe 10 miles or so.

I'm looking to move house, but I don't think a cave is really my thing.

That is such a cute house, so much character in it. I will keep it in mind for my next home...

In the outback Aust there a homes built underground because of the heat.

Very cool! Not to change the subject, but...how do you pronounce Worchestershire, anyway? I'm sure I am mispronouncing it...

Wusster-shire, or to be properly english, Wusstersher with short "e"s and short "u" in wuss, and the emphasis on the first syllable. Note that wuss is only a pronunciation guide and not a statement on the county Blushing

It's also how you pronounce the name of the sauce, rather than wor-cest-er-shire.

Yep Merianday that's how I say it as well...(wusster-shire)

Most men I know like it on eggs at brekky time...

My brother- in- law puts it on everything in every meal, apparently it must be sign of manhood or something LOL

I can't be a sign of the country (wuss) because the sauce is so strong in flavour that you couldn't be a wuss and like it!

Grandma's neighbours build their retirement home into a hill, but theirs had the normal furnace and stove such. And Bob The Builder's latest series hides homes that way as well. Makes a lot of sense to me, if you've got the space for it.

I could be worse, you could have bought a house from Ikea. Worcester and Herefordshire are now underwater at the moment.

Why does that look like the perfect location for a Galactor base?

Let's see. No electricity and water Look .... well a hamster wheel would solve the first, and it rains a lot in England.

Oh, and it has even a fireplace Ego likes fireplaces. Yup, Jun, it's worth for a base.

If the base is for Katse, all he needs is a stockpile of Uranium to power it. Wink

Yup, I'm sure Katze had a lot of caves bases in Himalaya, but all the Swan needs is a yo-yo to blow it up.

My parents live in a house that is built into a hillside. The nice thing about it is the rooms bellow ground/main floor never get too warm. In other words they stay at the temp. of 10 - 12 ft. underground. The frount of the house and upper floors facing south are all glass windows, to allow for solar heating of the rest of the house.
Wish I had some pictures of their place.

Speaking of interesting houses what do you think of these?

And for those of you who have always dreamed of living in a tree house.

And the last one makes me think of the James Bond Movie: I can't remember the name of it right now.

Did I do this one right???
