Gatcahamania Fic Library Opens
Hello Gatchaloons!
As anticipated the new Gatchamania Fic Library has been installed tested and is ready for you to use! 
List of Changes
1. Firstly you may be aware that we now have a fic library button on the top menu this is how you access the Library.
2. You may notice a Fic upload count when you post, this can be turned off from your profile options if you do not wish to display the number of uploads.
3. A new forum section called the Fic Library where the Fic discussion threads are initiated.
DO NOT POST A NEW THREAD HERE DIRECTLY! IT WILL BE DELETED!
Fic Library
The Fic library is made up of "bookshelves", each bookshelf is a category used to group fics together. As you can see there is a shelf called Firebird Fics. Here you will find Firebirds fics recovered from Kit Katse Klub.
If you intend to post a number of fics please contact me before doing so, so that I can create a bookshelf for you to use.
You will also notice a general bookshelf called "The Jumble" here one off fics and ficlets can be posted, that do not necessarily require a bookshelf of their own.
How do you use it?
To use the Fic library is fairly straight forward, you will be able to navigate to a fic via the bookshelves, click the download button and a fic download box will appear where you can save the fic to your computer.
To add a fic, navigate to the correct bookshelf and then click "new fic", fill in the details and upload your pre-zipped document.
All fics will be reviewed before being made active, this is to ensure the fics are virus free and do not contain anything other than a fic document.
The fic library will only accept fics that have been zipped up using winzip or another compression program that supports the .zip extension. This is to cut down on space usage and bandwidth that will be used on the site.
The maximum size of a zip is 256k which is more then enough for a compressed document.
When you post a new fic a new discussion thread is automatically created under the Fic Library forum for you, these threads are for others to comment about your particular Fic.
You will be able to access the discussion threads either directly from the fic in the fic library by pressing the discussion button or by navigating to the Fic Library forum from the main board menu.
Current Issues
There are several known issues about the system which I will be working to fix, they are:
1. Non IE users will experience downloads with no present file extension, this is a bug but simply rename your document before saving it so that the file extension ".zip" is appended to the filename and you will be fine.
2. Broken XHTML - the hack itself is still not completely XHTML compliant and I will be working to fix the templates so that they are like the rest of the site.
3. FAQ Update - A new FAQ will be produced to accomodate the fic library and its usage
And that is all I have to report, so please feel free to ask questions either here or in the support forum, preferably do this before you do something if you are not 100% sure and let me know of any further problems etc you may encounter!
I will be placing up fics from time to time as I recover them, these will be placed up under their respective user accounts much as I have done with Firebirds but if they are not currently members of Gatchamania I will place them up in the Jumble.
Now all there is left for me to say is enjoy!!

OH yeah...and 'Crazy Fools' and "Beast" both belong to Tengu. If you open up the documents, they say they are 'By Ronin' which is a Tengu alias.

You may have the "open or save" dialog box set to automatically download, in which case you need to find where on your computer you have told it do this in the past.
