As the weekend here in Eastern Australia sizzles somewhere around 35 - 45 degrees C (somewhere around the 100 mark in degrees F), I hear that Northeastern USA is being hit particularly hard by nasty cold weather.
I don't know whether any of our US Gatchamaniacs are in badly affected areas, but I hope everyone is staying warm and safe.

I didn't get any snow, but it's really cold -- 9 degrees F as I write this (almost -12 C)! But tomorrow it's supposed to get up above the freezing point for the first time since Christmas Eve. (Time to break out the bikini!)

I suppose it would be tactless of me to point out that here in the lower south western corner of Australia (next stop Antarctica) we had a lovely mild Christmas and New Year, with temperatures in the high twenties and low thirties (Centigrade.)
Hope everyone else managed to stay comfy and safe from the extremes of Global Weirding.
