Star Wars: The Last Jedi
So now that the trailer has dropped, does anyone have any thoughts/opinions they want to share?

EW, I saw something at 1:47 that made me think of you!

I thought... I can't wait for the Honest Trailers and HISHE takes on this.
Because I'm evil, that's why.

The universe has a grander feel to it than from my childhood memories... (still fondly with the first Star Wars release.)
But grandeur and story together. I'd love see how the bring it together this time, and not rely on too much special effects to make it exciting.
Of course... one last time for Leia... sniff sniff

Here in Australia, the Seven Network is airing all the Star Wars movies, one a week, on Sunday nights in anticipation of the release of the new one.
Last Sunday, they broadcast Ep1. Mum's staying with me while she recuperates from an illness and she hadn't seen Ep1, so she settled in to watch it.
I took a deep breath, muttered, "Maybe it isn't as bad as I remember it," made a couple of cups of tea (Madura - naturally low caffeine - interestingly, it says on the box to use water at 100 degrees Celsius) and took my place on the sofa.
It wasn't as bad as I remembered it.
It was worse.
In the lead-up to the pod race, I couldn't stand it any more so I made an excuse and fled.
So now I find myself wondering, who was more annoying: Jar Jar Binks, or 7-Zark-7?
And was it just me, or did the scriptwriters give R2D2 the Mary Sue treatment in Episode One?

Put Jar Jar Binks and 7Zark7 with 1rover1 in the same room, code lock the door, bolt it, weld it shut and run...
R2... Mmm... wasn't Zark a rip off from the blue robot. I always thought so.

GGO - I find Jar Jar to be worse: in spite of his many flaws, Zark never displayed any traits that resembled century-old negative stereotypes of black Americans.

And just as we were swooning over the new Star Wars trailer, the name of the new, standalone Han Solo movie was announced -- it will be called "Solo".
For once, I m speechless...
So I'd better go watch that trailer again...
